GSCL actively provides this service commercially for clients at very competitive rates and on timely basis. Currently, GSCL provides this service from its state of the art and professionally staffed offices at Tema and Takoradi Ports as well as the Kotoka International Airport.  GSCL propose to pre-finance clearance of merchandise for selected reliable clients upon request from clients.

GSCL has a department that actively responds to institutional and organizational tenders and supply items such as Computers and Accessories, Agricultural Commodities, Agricultural Equipment and Machinery, Construction Equipment and Machinery, Stationery and other supplies. GSCL’s partnership with Empire Enterprises, UK a world renowned procurement company ensure that items are sourced globally and supplied with speed.

As procurement consultants of all kinds of goods and services for clients, GSCL offers procurement services that are outsourced by entities.  This service is offered such that the entities continue to own the whole procurement processes in line with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2003 (ACT 663).

The underlying procurement policy of GSCL is to a large extent a firm commitment to:

• International competitive bidding principles, which ensure that as much as possible, transparency and value for money are guaranteed.
• Strict adherence to procurement guidelines of multilateral and bilateral donor organizations.
• Ensuring value for money procurement/process.

GSCL has a proven track record of promoting professionalism in the procurement industry by offering training programs for Procurement, non-procurement, inventory, logistics and stores personnel of public and private organizations as well as individuals.

This is done in collaboration with other institutions and resource persons to provide training in the Procurement modules, structures, rules, and processes of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 663 and in Stores, Inventory, Supply chain and Public Procurement Management practices.

GSCL has a warehouse at its Tema port office that provides warehousing and haulage services. Plans are well advanced to open a branch at the in-land Port in Boankra in the Ashanti region as well as a Total Logistics Centre at Takoradi in the Western Region.
